Living God’s Church Home Cell ministry was founded on Acts 2:42; “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers”. The cell meetings are structured into four parts called the ‘4 Ws’: welcome, worship, Word and witness.
After the opening prayer there is an ice breaking session, in which members participate actively by telling Christian jokes, riddles, short quizzes and games. This is followed by a time of vigorous praise and worship and prayer. Members are also encouraged to facilitate meetings with the aim of developing leadership skills. During the time for the Word the previous Sunday’s sermon is discussed. Members are able to ask questions and to seek clarification of the word and also to make edifying contributions.
Members are also encouraged to personalise the Word and by so doing are able to internalise the Word. This has resulted in renewal of minds, spiritual understanding and growth. Members also share testimonies about what and how the word has transformed their lives and helped them in their personal and spiritual growth.
The last but not the least activity of the cell meeting is the breaking of bread. Members bring food and drinks which is shared whilst they chat and socialise with one another. This brings members together even the more and strengthens the bond of unity.
To God be all the glory.
